EMPOWERING RURAL YOUTH IN ODISHA
Keeping in view the burning problem of unemployment, State Government has taken a major initiative in setting up of a High Power State Employment Mission under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister in the year 2005-06. Orissa State Employment Mission (OSEMS) under DIRECTORATE OF TECHNINCAL EDUCATION & TRAINING has been formed to facilitate and achieve the objectives of the State Employment Mission on a Mission mode.
The basic objective of the training program would be to equip rural youths with marketable skills to enhance their capacity to secure employment in the organised sector or set up micro-enterprises for self employment with adequate income generation. This skill development program would be an integral part of SGSY and training may be provided on the basis of market demand and potential market opportunities. The training program may be designed to cover both skill development and enterprise development.
IACM started placement linked training program under OSEMS in the year 2015.
The approved Job Roles under OSEM are as follows:
- Electrician Domestic
- Repair & Maintenance of Domestic Electronic Appliances
- Welder (Repair & Maintenance)
- Bedside Assistant
IACM has set up its regional office in Bhubaneswar and is having state team of 32 people. The training facilities are at
